[Animal experiment]-pine pollen assisted paclitaxel combined with platinum chemotherapy to increase efficacy and reduce toxicity

Objective: To explore the inhibitory and synergistic effects of pine pollen and paclitaxel combined with platinum (paclitaxel, cisplatin, TP) chemotherapy on paclitaxel.

Methods: Using the human lung cancer H460 cell line as the model group, 48 xenotransplanted nude mice were prepared, and the pine pollen 3 groups + TP regimen at the doses of 600, 300, and 150 mg/kg were used for chemotherapy. There are 3 single-dose groups in the chemotherapy group, 600, 300, and 150 mg/kg pine pollen, with 6 rats in each group. After the corresponding drugs were given to each group, pine pollen used nude mice's weight, food intake, tumor inhibition rate, hematology, liver and kidney function as evaluation indicators, thereby enhancing the toxicity of TP chemotherapy. A comprehensive evaluation on whether it has a reducing effect.

Result: The model animals were treated with TP regimen chemotherapy, and pine pollen (150, 300, 600 mg/kg) was given by gavage. This significantly improves the tumor suppression rate of TP-only chemotherapy and reduces the weight loss and food intake of chemotherapy drugs. It reduces and inhibits leukopenia and liver and kidney damage caused by chemotherapy.

Conclusion: Simultaneous administration of pine pollen and TP regimen chemotherapy plays an important role in improving the efficacy and reducing toxicity.
