Objective: To investigate the effect of high-fat diet feeding time on blood glucose, insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR) and urine albumin excretion rate (UAER) in type 2 diabetic nephropathy (DN) rats.
Method: Adopt unilateral renal artery ligation + high-fat feed feeding + low-dose streptozotocin (STZ) intraperitoneal injection to establish the model. After ligating the unilateral renal artery, the DN1 and DN2 groups were fed a high-fat diet for 4 or 8 weeks. Then, STZ 30 mg/kg was injected intraperitoneally, the UAER of the two groups of rats were compared 4 weeks after STZ injection and at the end of the experiment, and the blood glucose, body weight, HOMA-IR, renal index and renal damage of the two groups of rats were compared. I observed it.
Result: 4 weeks after STZ injection, the UAER of both groups of rats increased. The UAER of the DN2 group was significantly higher than that of the DN1 group (P0.05)?
Conclusion: Prolonging the feeding time of high-fat diet will increase DN and damage the kidneys, but it may delay the intervention time. So should the trial be considered?
