Purpose: To carry out proficiency testing activities in 2017 to evaluate the detection capabilities of Bordetella bronchis in domestic experimental animal laboratories.
Method: According to the relevant documents of CNAS, the Chinese Academy of Food and Drug Sciences, as a proficiency testing provider, created and provided comparative samples containing bronchial bacillus, Pasteurella aerogenes and Escherichia coli as interfering bacteria To participating laboratories. Test results and reports should be fed back to the eyes within the specified time.
Result: The average bacterial content of the three prepared samples exceeded 1×108 CFU/mL, and the accelerated stabilization time at 37°C exceeded 20 days, which met the comparative requirements. A total of 25 laboratory animal laboratories from 18 provinces and cities across the country participated in the meeting. All laboratories reported results and reports on time, with a satisfaction rate of 88%.
Conclusion: This ability test lays the foundation for the further development of the laboratory animal airway bacteria comparison project. Most participating laboratories have consistent and reliable testing capabilities for Bordetella bronchis.
