Animal experiment: a preliminary report on naked goby infected with Vibrio vulnificus

Objective: To isolate and identify the pathogenic bacteria of goby used in the infection experiment.

Method: Isolate and cultivate, purify and cultivate the diseased area, and then use 16sRNA and physiological and biochemical methods to identify pathogens.

Result: The Gram-negative Vibrio GDLAMI-1210 strain was isolated and observed under a microscope in a comma-like form. Under an electron microscope, one end of the bacteria is blunt and round, and the other end is elongated with curved whiskers. The results of physiological and biochemical identification are consistent with those of Vibrio. The results of the 16sRNA sequence and the standard strain of Vibrio vulnificus (ATCC27562T) are classified as a class of bacteria. Regression experiments confirmed that the bacteria has specific pathogenicity to naked goby.

Conclusion: A preliminary report of naked goby infection with Vibrio.
