【Animal Experiment】-The effect of long-term administration of Fumikang vagina suppository on blood physiological and biochemical indexes of rabbits

Objective: To observe the effects of long-term use of Fumikang vaginal suppository on blood physiology and biochemistry in rabbits, and to provide scientific basis for clinical safe medication.

Method: Fumican vaginal suppository extract powder was administered vaginally at doses of 8.586, 2.856, 0.952 g/kg body weight once a day for 6 consecutive months to check blood physiological and biochemical indicators for 6 consecutive months.

Result: Six months after the administration of Fumican vaginal suppository, the number of free red blood cells, hemoglobin content and hematocrit of the Fumican vaginal suppository powder group were 8.568 g/kg, which were significantly increased compared with the vehicle control group. (P0.05). Six months after drug administration and four weeks after drug withdrawal, each treatment group had no significant effect on blood biochemical indicators.

Conclusion: Long-term use of Fumican vaginal suppository at 2.856 g/kg will not affect the blood physiology and biochemistry of rabbits, and the safe dose of Fumican vaginal suppository is less than 2.856 g/kg, which is a clinical adult. This shows that it is 20 times the dose (adults are calculated based on a weight of 60 kg).
