What should be paid attention to when transporting experimental animals?

  (1) The General Administration of Civil Aviation of China and other relevant agencies that supervise the transportation of fresh and live animals must fully understand and strictly implement laboratory animal transportation.

  (2) The unloading process requires the experimental animals to be finally loaded into the transportation tool. After arriving at your destination, you must leave the vehicle first. Shorten the transportation time of experimental animals.

  (3) Packaging, sealing and transportation should meet the corresponding laboratory animal grade standards. The density of the transport box (cage) must meet the physiological and ecological requirements of experimental animals.

  (4) To prevent mutual interference, please do not mix test animals of different breeds, strains, sexes and grades before transportation.

  (5) When transporting experimental animals on the ground or on land, someone must take care of these animals. When transporting experimental animals, the shipper must immediately notify the consignee of relevant information (such as the flight number and arrival time of the aircraft), and the consignee should transport the animals to their final destination as soon as possible after receiving the goods. ground.

  (6) When transporting experimental animals in severe weather such as high temperature, high temperature, rain, snow, and cold, it is necessary to take effective protective measures to protect the experimental animals.

  (7) Special transportation tools must be used to transport experimental animals on the ground, and special transportation tools must be equipped with equipment and shock-resistant devices to maintain the normal breathing and life of the experimental animals.

  (8) Special training must be provided to transport personnel to understand and acquire knowledge of laboratory animals.

  (9) For long-distance transportation (usually 4 hours or more), adequate nutrition should be provided for the animals, including sufficient water. Avoid drinking water bottles to prevent overflow.

  (10) The export and transportation control of laboratory animals should be carried out in accordance with relevant national regulations.
