Experimental observation of porcine circovirus type 3 infecting BALB/c mice

Objective: To study the infection of porcine circovirus 3 (PCV3) in BALB/c mice.

Method: Divide female BALB/c mice into two groups. The experimental group was infected with PCV3 tissue toxin, and the control group was inoculated with the same dose of PBS. The state of the mice was observed every day after infection, and on days 0, 3, 7, 11 and 14 Blood was collected for fluorescence quantitative PCR detection and ELISA detection. After the experiment, all animals were euthanized and autopsied, and the heart, liver, spleen, lung, kidney, brain and lymph nodes were sampled for fluorescence quantitative PCR detection, and films were made for histological diseases Physical examination. Select the positive tissues detected by PCR for PCV3 CAP gene sequencing analysis.

Results: PCV3 tissue virus infection in mice did not cause obvious clinical symptoms and pathological changes. The virus can be detected in the serum of the early stage of infection. The organs with the highest virus content are the liver and spleen. After PCV3 infects the mice, the nucleic acid sequence does not change. As the infection time increases, the serum antibody level gradually increases.

Conclusion: PCV3 can infect BALB/c mice and proliferate in mice. The results of this study provide a reference for the study of the pathogenicity of porcine circovirus type 3 and its prevention and control.
