Effects of long-term administration of Fumikang vaginal suppository on blood physiological and biochemical indexes of rabbits

Objective To observe the effect of long-term administration of Fumikang vaginal suppository on blood physiology and biochemistry in rabbits, and to provide scientific basis for clinical safe medication.

Methods Fumikang vaginal suppository extract powder was administered vaginally once a day at 8.586, 2.856, 0.952g/kg body mass dosage for 6 consecutive months, and the blood physiological and biochemical indicators were checked.

Results After 6 months of administration of Fumikang vaginal suppository, the number of immune red blood cells, hemoglobin content and hematocrit in the 8.568 g/kg dose group of Fumikang vaginal suppository powder increased significantly compared with the vehicle control group (P<0.05), 4="" after="" stopping="" the="" drug="" for="" it="" returned="" to="" normal.="" there="" was="" no="" significant="" difference="" between="" other="" hematology="" indexes="" and="" vehicle="" control="" group="" p="">0.05). After 6 months of administration and 4 weeks after drug withdrawal, each administration group had no significant effect on blood biochemical indicators.

Conclusion Long-term administration of Fumikang vaginal suppository at 2.856g/kg has no effect on the blood physiology and biochemistry of rabbits, suggesting that the safe dose of Fumikang vaginal suppository is 2.865g/kg or less, which is 20 times the planned dosage for clinical adults (adults 60kg weight meter).
