Establishment of orthotopic liver transplantation model in Mongolian gerbils

Objective: To establish the method and technology of orthotopic liver transplantation model of gerbils. Methods: 100 pairs of orthotopic liver transplantation of gerbils with modified double cannula were performed. The portal vein and inferior inferior vena cava were anastomosed with cannula, while the superior vena cava was sutured and the bile duct was completed by the bile duct stent. reconstruction.

Results: After the operation was mature, the donor operation time was 34.56±5.12 min, the liver repair and cannulation time was 15.43±2.75 min, the recipient operation time was 58.37±8.54 min, and the anhepatic stage was 23.66±4.47 min. The operation success rate was 86.67% (survival for more than 6 hours after operation).

Conclusion: The improved double-cuff method successfully established the gerbil liver transplantation model. The training of surgical skills can increase the success rate of surgery and prolong the survival time of gerbils.
