Making a rat model of subarachnoid hemorrhage by puncturing the internal carotid artery

Purpose: Through the combination of pictures and texts, to introduce in detail the method and process of making a rat subarachnoid hemorrhage model; improve and innovate the model so that it can better simulate subarachnoid hemorrhage caused by clinical aneurysm rupture. Methods: SD male rats were selected, and the extracranial segment of the internal carotid artery was used to penetrate the inner neck segment to establish a subarachnoid hemorrhage model of the SD male rat. The head and neck of the rat were dissected with respiration, pupil, urine, and indwelling fiber core. Method to verify the model. Through observing the mortality and clinical manifestations, the controllability and repeatability of the model were discussed.

Result: The puncture of the blood vessel causes subarachnoid hemorrhage, and the position of the fiber core can accurately puncture the required blood vessel. Conclusion: This method is stable in making models, the method is easy to understand, the operation is exquisite and flexible, and the repeatability is strong. The model can be successfully modeled within a short time after understanding, and the subarachnoid hemorrhage caused by the successful model can be better Simulating clinical aneurysm sudden rupture and bleeding, it is very suitable for the study of early brain damage and vasospasm of subarachnoid hemorrhage.
