Objective: To study the effect of psychotropic drugs (heroin) on the expression of Bax gene in the brain of addicted rats. The method-addiction rat model was established by continuous dose increase method, and the expression of Bax gene in brain cells was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).
Result: After 7 days of continuous heroin injection, the rats showed obvious withdrawal symptoms. Compared with the control group, the levels of Bax, Caspase-3 and Caspase-9 in brain cells increased by 88.21%, 94.21% and 87.24%, respectively. Compared with the control group, there is a significant difference (P\u003c0.01).
Conclusion: The damaging effect of psychotropic drugs (heroin) on brain tissue cells may be achieved by inducing the expression of Bax gene in the brain and activating caspase.
