Objective: To study the effect of octachlorodibenzodioxin (OCDD) on the changes of gene expression profiles in the testis of male mice.
Method: Randomly select 20 male CBL/6j mice from the control group (corn oil), OCDD low-dose group (1.25 x 10-6 g/mL), and medium-dose group (1.25 x 10-5 g/mL) The group (1.25×10-4 g/mL) was administered intragastrically once a day. After intragastric administration for 30 consecutive days, the testes were collected and genetic analysis was used to compare the differences in gene expression in male testes using chip technology. Mice and controls were exposed to different concentrations of OCDD.
Results: Compared with the control group, the total number of differential genes between the low-dose group and the control group was up-regulated by 1,133 and 659, down-regulated 474, and the number of differential genes between the middle-dose and control group was 978, up-regulated 487, and down-regulated 491; high-dose group The number of differential genes between the group and the control group was 895, which was down-regulated by 424 and decreased by 471.
Conclusion: Subchronic OCDD exposure will affect the expression of related genes in the testis of mice, which indicates that the testis may be the target organ of OCDD toxicity.
