Objective: To explore the effects of anesthetics in different animal experiments on the cardiovascular system of rats.
Methods: BioPac MP150 was used to dynamically record the electrocardiogram and blood pressure of the rats anesthetized by the four anesthetic drugs. The blood glucose of the rats at different time points after anesthesia and the liver and kidney function, myocardial enzymes, and electrolytes of the experimental endpoint were collected.
Results: Chloral hydrate can cause severe ventricular arrhythmia, isoflurane has an inhibitory effect on heart rate, sodium pentobarbital can increase the P wave of rat electrocardiogram, and urethane can cause the J point of rat electrocardiogram to increase. Both urethane and pentobarbital sodium can cause an increase in SBP, chloral hydrate can increase CK, isoflurane can reduce CK and CKMB, and pentobarbital sodium and isoflurane can reduce ALT and AST. Chloral hydrate, pentobarbital sodium, and isoflurane can all reduce creatinine, and all four anesthetics can reduce blood sodium and potassium.
Conclusion: Chloral hydrate has a significant effect on the cardiovascular system and is not suitable for animal experimental studies of cardiovascular diseases. Sodium pentobarbital, urethane, and isoflurane can be appropriately selected as animal experimental studies of cardiovascular diseases.
