　　Objective: To explore the effects of maca extract on the toxicity and immune system of mice.

　　Method: Give BALB/c mice Maca extract for 15 days, observe the toxic effect of Maca on the mice, and weigh the thymus and spleen.

　　Result: The cumulative oral dose of mice within 24 hours was 320g/(kg·bw), and no toxicity was observed in animals. After administering 16.0, 32.0, 64.0 g/(kg·bw) of maca extract for 15 days, the weight of the thymus increased by 36.84%, 89.47%, 107.89%, and the weight of the spleen increased by 44.83%, 62.01%, 89.66%. The carbon particle clearance index of mice increased by 30.85%, 42.55% and 54.79%, and the serum hemolysin levels increased by 11.64%, 20.03% and 31.51%, respectively. Compared with the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P\u003c0.05-0.01). ).

　　 Conclusion: Maca extract can increase the weight of the immune system, improve immune function, and is less toxic.
