【Animal Modeling】-Experimental Observation of Porcine Circovirus Type 3 Infection in BALB/c Mice

Purpose: How to study porcine circovirus 3 (PCV3) infection in BALB/c mice?

Method: Divide female BALB/c mice into two groups, the experimental group was infected with PCV3 tissue virus, and the control group was inoculated. The same dose of PBS? After infection, the condition of the mice was observed every day, and blood was collected on days 0, 3, 7, 11, and 14 for fluorescence quantitative PCR and ELISA. At the end of the experiment, should all animals collect samples of heart, liver, spleen, lung, kidney, brain and lymph nodes for fluorescence quantitative PCR detection, and prepare slices for histopathological examination? Choose PCR-positive tissues for PCV3CAP gene sequence analysis?

Result: Does PCV3 tissue toxin infection in mice cause obvious clinical symptoms or pathological changes? The virus can be detected in the serum early in the infection. The organs with the highest virus content are the liver and spleen. Will the nucleic acid sequence change after PCV3 infects mice? Does the serum antibody level gradually increase with the infection time?

Conclusion: Can PCV3 infect and reproduce BALB/c mice? The results of this research will serve as a reference for the research.
