【Animal Modeling】-Preliminary Study on the Tolerance of Naked Mole Heart to 60Co γ-ray Radiation

OBJECTIVE: To observe and analyze the changes in the morphological structure and tissue biochemical indexes of Hadakadebanezumi's heart by 60Co gamma rays, and to study the tolerance of Hadakadebanezumi's heart to 60Co gamma rays.

Method: irradiate naked mole mice with 10Gy60Co gamma rays once, collect the hearts of naked mole mice on the 7th and 14th days after irradiation, and prepare paraffin sections. After HE staining, the microstructure of the heart was observed. Optical microscope; animal tissue biochemical detection kit can detect malondialdehyde (MDA), total antioxidant (T-AOC), glutathione (GSH), glutathione oxidation (GSSG) indicators in heart tissue. Microscopic examination revealed that the heart tissue of nude mole mice did not show obvious atrophy, edema, necrosis or fibrosis after irradiation. In biochemical studies, the content of MDA in the heart tissue increased significantly after irradiation (P\u003c0.01), and the content of T-AOC, GSH and GSSG all showed a time-related decline (all P\u003c0.05).

Conclusion: The nude mouse heart of mole mice has a certain tolerance to 60Co gamma rays, but the specific resistance mechanism is still unclear.
