[Animal Modeling]-Establishment of a mouse model of kidney deficiency syndrome induced by hydrocortisone and evaluation of related indicators

Objective: To establish a mouse model of kidney-yang deficiency and kidney-yin deficiency induced by hydrocortisone, and to study its related endpoints.

Method: Hydrocortisone is used to establish a mouse model of kidney deficiency and kidney deficiency. Observe the survivability of kidney deficiency and kidney deficiency model mice, and measure the weight change of each group of model mice. Determination of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), HPA axis cortisol (Cor.), HPT axis thyroid hormone (TSH), triiodothyroxine (T3), thyroxine (T4) and HPG axis follicle stimulating hormone using radioimmunoassay (FSH), estradiol (E2), testosterone (T) content.

Result: The weight loss of mice with kidney-yang deficiency and kidney-yang deficiency, serum ACTH, Cor in kidney-yang deficiency model mice. , TSH, T3, T4 levels decreased, and serum FSH, E2, T levels increased, and there were differences. Both are significant (P\u003c0.01). The kidney shadow defect model is the opposite.

Conclusion: ACTH and Cor in the endocrine system of mice with renal failure. , TSH, T3, T4, FSH, E2 and T hormone levels have changed. Cor pulmonale can be used as an important indicator for evaluating glucocorticoids.
