[Modeling mechanism] Acute ischemia delays the conduction of impulses in the atrial ischemic area, promotes reentry, and leads to the development of atrial fibrillation.
[Modeling method] Dog: Please choose an adult male or female dog. After anesthesia, tracheal intubation was performed. After disinfection, open the chest along the midline and place electrodes on the appendages of the left and right atria to mark the electrical activity of the heart and stimulate the atria. Two ligations of the right atrial artery (perfusion of the free wall of the right atrium) are performed for 0.5 to 3 hours. S1S2/S1S1 trigger stimulation to induce atrial fibrillation.
[Model Features] Histological examination revealed obvious necrosis in the atrial ischemic area, and electrophysiological atlas showed that the conduction velocity in the ischemic area was significantly reduced. Compared with non-ischemic atrial muscles, atrial fibrillation in ischemic areas is easier to induce and lasts longer.
[Model Evaluation and Application] This model can be used to study the mechanism and treatment of coronary heart disease and atrial fibrillation.
