【Animal Modeling】-rat endometriosis model

Purpose: To provide an ideal animal model for the research of new treatment methods for endometriosis.

Methods: Sixty-four SD rats with sexual maturity, non-pregnancy and regular estrus cycle were selected for autologous endometrial transplantation in the peritoneum and subcutaneously during the estrus period. The modeling situation of the two transplantation sites was compared 4 weeks after the operation. .

Results: The overall success rate of autologous endometrial transplantation in rats during estrus was 93.3%, of which the success rate of peritoneal transplantation was 51.7%, and the success rate of subcutaneous transplantation was 88.3%. The difference between the two was statistically significant; compare the two ectopic lesions The difference in volume was not statistically significant.

Conclusion: The success rate of establishing a rat endometriosis model using the "sword method" is higher, and the success rate of subcutaneous transplantation is higher than that of peritoneal transplantation.
