【Animal Modeling】-A mouse model of skin type lupus

Objective: To observe and identify the skin symptoms of senile systemic lupus erythematosus mice, and to explore whether it can be used as a mouse model to study skin lupus.

Method: Observe the age of TC, compare the skin symptoms of mice of the same age and C57BL/6 mice, detect the anti-dsDNA antibody and anti-ANA antibody of the mouse serum by ELISA, and detect the pathological symptoms of the skin mouse by HE staining?

Result: TC mice showed symptoms such as 2/3 alopecia and skin ulcers. The lesion first occurred at 40 weeks of age. The serum anti-dsDNA antibody and anti-ANA antibody titers of lupus mice with skin lesions were significantly higher. More than C57BL/6 mice (P\u003c0.05); HE staining results show that the stratum corneum of lupus mice is missing, the epithelial layer is interrupted, a large number of lymphocytes infiltrate the skin, or just under the skin?

Conclusion: Lupus mice developed skin lesions after 40 weeks. This suggests that mice can be used as a chronic skin study.
