[Animal Modeling]-A mouse model of kidney deficiency syndrome induced by hydrocortisone

Objective: To establish a mouse model of kidney-yang deficiency and kidney-yin deficiency induced by hydrocortisone, and to study its related endpoints.

Method: Hydrocortisone is used to establish a mouse model of kidney deficiency and kidney deficiency. Observe the survivability of kidney deficiency and kidney deficiency model mice, and measure the changes in body weight of each group of model mice. Use radioimmunoassay to detect corticosteroid stimulating hormone (ACTH), HPA axis cortisol (Cor.), HPT axis thyroid hormone (TSH), triiodothyroxine (T3), thyroxine (T4) and HPG axis follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), estradiol (E2), testosterone (T) content.

Result: The weight loss of mice with kidney-yang deficiency and kidney-yang deficiency, serum ACTH, Cor in kidney-yang deficiency model mice. , TSH, T3, T4 levels decreased, and serum FSH, E2, and T levels increased. The differences were statistically significant (P\u003c0.01); the opposite was true in the kidney-yin deficiency model.

Conclusion: ACTH and Cor in the endocrine system of mice with renal failure. , TSH, T3, T4, FSH, E2 and T hormone levels have changed. Cor pulmonale can be used as an important indicator for evaluating glucocorticoids.
