【Animal Modeling】-Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Model

Objective: To compare the behavioral characteristics of SHR, WKY and SD rats, and explore an ideal control model for the study of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in SHR rats.

Method: Use an open field experiment to count the travel distance, travel speed, grid number and modification time of rats to evaluate the autonomous movement of SHR, WKY and SD rats. Using the water maze experiment, the learning and memory abilities of the three groups of rats were tested.

Results: The results of field experiments show that the total momentum, average exercise rate and number of passes of SHR rats are significantly higher than those of WKY and SD rats (P<0.01). In the water maze hidden platform experiment of SD rats, compared with WKY rats, the travel distance was significantly higher than that of the WKY group (P<0.01), and the moving speed and grid number were slightly higher than those of the WKY group (P<0. 01). u003c0.05). The incubation period of SD rats is longer than that of SHR rats (P<0.05). During the incubation period, SD rats exercised longer distances than SHR rats after training for 1, 3 and 4 days (P<0.05 or P<0.01). ); Compare WKY group. Compared with WKY, the difference between the incubation period and the incubation period of SD rats has a greater difference in each training time (P<0.05 or P<0.01). In the space exploration stage, the number of intersections, target quadrant travel time and distance ratio of SD rats were reduced compared with SHR rats (P<0.05), but compared with WKY rats, they increased to varying degrees ( P<0). 05). u003c0.05) or P<0.01).

Conclusion: The behavioral differences between WKY and SHR rats are too big, and there are some shortcomings in comparing them. Adding SD rats as a control group of SHR rats can improve the comparability of the behavioral characteristics of SHR rats. It reflects the behavioral characteristics of SHR rats.
