Local anesthesia occupies an important position in clinical anesthesia. Due to the widespread use of visual aids such as ultrasound, local anesthesia is becoming more and more popular among clinical anesthesiologists. However, in the basic and clinical research of local anesthesia, due to the lack of reliable and stable animal models of local anesthesia, the corresponding research progress is slow. In addition, animal surgical anesthesia and analgesia also need to seek better local anesthesia. In recent years, with the help of new visualization tools, great progress has been made in establishing local anesthesia animal models.
This article reviews the types and establishment of local anesthesia animal models, how local anesthesia animal models promote the development of local anesthesia, and describes the future development.
