How to measure the growth, blood and organ-related indexes of sterile pigs? -【Animal Modeling】

Purpose: To establish background information on various physiological data of sterile Taihu pigs.

Method: For 4 sterile pigs with the same litter number for 25 days and 4 pigs at a general level, the male to female ratio of blood routine, biochemical reagents, and immunoglobulin is 3:1, and the developmental index of the main organs is measured and compared. .. The relative growth model is used to analyze the relative growth of major organs with respect to body weight.

Results: (1) The 12 blood collection routines and 8 blood biochemical indexes of sterile pigs and normal pigs were significantly different (P<0.05); (2) The average body weight of sterile pigs and normal pigs was compared with serum IgM. The differential expression level reached a significant level (P<0.05), sterile pigs lack mesenteric lymph nodes; (3) The heart, spleen, stomach and body weight of sterile pigs are all negative, showing relative growth (relative growth index b\ u003c1), the relative growth index between the small intestine and body weight is 1.78, which is a relatively positive growth. On the other hand, the heart, stomach, intestine, and body weight of normal pigs show relative negative growth (b<1), and show relative growth of kidneys and body. The body weight gain index is the highest at 1.20, indicating that the relative growth is positive.

Conclusion: Differences in microbial levels will affect pig body weight, blood, organs and immune system development.
