Purpose: To study the liver pathology and serum biochemical changes of beagle dogs with spontaneous cirrhosis, and to establish background data for experimental animals suitable for GLP.
Methods: Collect blood from the veins of the lower extremities to prepare serum, and use an automatic biochemical analyzer to measure liver function indexes, such as ALT, AST, TP, ALB, ALP, TBIL, TC, TG and GGT. The above indicators are simultaneously infected and blank control animals The indicators of the liver describe histopathological examination and histopathological characteristics of his liver under an optical microscope.
Results: Compared with the blank control group during the same period, the ALT, AST, ALP, TBIL, GGT of the diseased animals were significantly increased, and ALB was significantly decreased; compared with normal tissues, liver cirrhosis showed nodular regeneration and disordered arrangement , With different numbers of pseudo-lobules, the surrounding pseudo-lobules are surrounded by proliferating collagen fibers.
Conclusion: The pathological monitoring of natural lesions in Beagle dogs should be strengthened to provide background information on experimental animals for drug safety assessment.
