【Animal Modeling】-How to establish an animal model of perimenopausal syndrome induced by ovarian removal?

  Perimenopausal syndrome is a series of symptoms caused by the decline of steroid hormones such as estrogen and progesterone, which seriously affects women's physical and mental health and quality of life. It is particularly important to choose an appropriate animal model to study the disease. Ovarian removal animal models are often used in the study of perimenopausal syndromes, including osteoporosis, memory decline, cognitive impairment, anxiety, depression, and obesity.

  By searching PubMed, China National Knowledge Network (CNKI) database, ovarian extraction animal model applied to perimenopausal syndrome related literature, this article reviews the application of this animal model to perimenopausal syndrome research progress.
