　　OBJECTIVE: To retrieve the relevant literature of different animal models of facial paralysis, analyze the advantages and disadvantages of different model preparation methods, explore the preparation methods suitable for different research types, investigate animal models of facial paralysis, and provide experimental basis for preparation.

　　Method: Searched the literature related to the creation of facial paralysis animal models in the past ten years, and summarized various experimental animals and modeling methods.

　　Result: At present, most of the animals used to make facial nerve palsy models are rats, mice, and Japanese big-eared rats. The modeling methods include drawing nerve amputation, pressing method, and pulling method.

　　Conclusion: At present, there are many methods for making facial paralysis models, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Different modeling methods can be selected for different research goals, and provide scientific basis for acupuncture treatment of facial paralysis.
