【Animal Modeling】-How to build pressure-overloaded chronic heart failure rats?

Objective: To use electrocardiogram to detect and analyze the characteristics of pressure-overloaded rats with chronic heart failure.

Method: 20 male SD rats were randomly divided into sham operation group (S group) and heart failure group (HF group). The heart failure group was modeled by abdominal aortic valve stenosis, and the sham operation group was only threaded but not contracted. Ⅱ Lead electrocardiogram detects the limb leads and performs statistical analysis on the data.

Results: The ECG test showed several characteristics at 10 weeks postoperatively: Heart failure group (HF group): (1) Heart rate, P wave amplitude and P wave time limit were significantly increased (P). u003c0.05); ②R wave amplitude was significantly higher than that of S group rats (Pu003c0.05). (3) The displacement of the J point of the electrocardiogram increased significantly (Pu003c0.05), and the height of the ST segment decreased significantly (Pu003c0.05).

Conclusion: The ECG features of stress-induced heart failure rats are clear. As a non-invasive method, ECG detection can effectively evaluate stress-induced heart failure in rats.
