[Animal Modeling]-Screening EV71 pathogenicity-related genes through genetic diversity mice

Purpose: To screen the pathogenic genes of Enterovirus 71 (EV71) through Genetic Diversity Mice Resources, to understand the pathogenic mechanism of the virus, and to provide clinical diagnosis, treatment and prognosis basis.

Methods: 107copies EV71 virus was infected with 4-6 weeks old genetically diverse mouse strains through the abdominal cavity, blood and hind limb skeletal muscle samples were collected, real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR technology was used to analyze the viral load, and the genetic database of The GeneMine system was used to analyze the infection data , Screening and obtaining EV71 pathogenicity-related genes.

Result: 53 genes related to the pathogenicity of EV71 were screened through genetic diversity mouse infection data.

Conclusion: Genetically diverse mice have greater advantages in simulating population genetic diversity and studying complex traits of diseases, and are ideal new animal resources for screening disease-related genes.
