【Animal Modeling】-Why establish a calvarial defect model of young sheep?

OBJECTIVE: To detect the expression of Dlx2 gene in the skull tissue of a small-tailed Han sheep skull defect model, and to explore its importance in skull defects?

Method: Defect model, in which 10 small-tailed sheep 1 month old are selected to build the skull. Should the natural skull tissue adjacent to the defect be collected? Dlx2 using timePCR and Westernblot technology? Detect the expression level of mRNA and protein.

Result: Compared with the natural skull tissue adjacent to the defect site, the Dlx2 mRNA and protein expression levels of the new skull tissue at the defect site are significantly higher (P\u003c0.05)?

Conclusion: Is the increase in Dlx2 gene expression important for skull defect repair?
