【Animal Modeling】-Discussion on the difference of blood indexes of young SD rats at different stages

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to collect blood indicators of SD pups at various developmental stages, establish corresponding background data, and provide reference materials for the safety evaluation of pediatric drugs.

Method: Collect blood samples from about 200 juvenile SD rats aged 3, 6, 8, 12, and 16 weeks, and measure the corresponding indexes with an automatic blood cell counter and biochemical analyzer.

Results: From the results of various indicators, the blood indicators of 6-week-old rats are RBC, which is different from the blood indicators of 16-week-old rats such as HGB, TP and BUN. Compared with 16-week-old rats, 12 blood 1-week-old rats have no difference in most indicators such as WBC, HGB, and BUN.

Conclusion: There is a constant time correlation between the blood indicators of young SD rats of different ages. The establishment of background data in different time periods has certain guiding significance for the statistical analysis and discussion of blood indicators of young rats.
