【Animal Modeling】-The effect of long-term consumption of Polygonum multiflorum on hematopoietic system in mice

Objective: To study the changes of hematopoietic system in mice after long-term ingestion of Polygonum multiflorum.

Method: The mice were randomly divided into two groups. The control group was fed with ordinary feed, and the F. Shouwu feed group was fed with F. Shouwu feed. After 10 months, the mice were sacrificed, and peripheral blood and spleen were collected. It analyzes various cells in the thymus and bone marrow by flow cytometry.

Result: In the Fed Polygonum multiflorum group, the number of spleen B cells increased, the thymus CD4+ cells increased, and the CD8+ cells decreased. Bone marrow hematopoietic stem cells decreased significantly, among which quiescent cells increased. , And the proliferation and reduction of mitotic cells.

Conclusion: Long-term appropriate intake of Polygonum multiflorum can help delay the aging of the hematopoietic system in mice and maintain the stability of the hematopoietic system.
