【Animal Modeling】-How to build a rat model of preeclampsia?

  Objective: To explore the establishment of a rat model of preeclampsia.

  Method: 39 SPF pregnant Wistar rats. Among these 16 animals, uterine blood perfusion (RUPP) groups were reduced, 10 animals were in the RUPP + perfusion group, and 13 rats were in the sham operation group. Perform RUPP operation or sham operation on the 14th day of pregnancy, monitor blood pressure, urine protein, and national descendants? 18 days of pregnancy.

  Results: (1) Affecting pregnant rats under RUPP operation: Compared with pregnant rats in sham operation group, systolic blood pressure RUPP group and RUPP + irrigation group, it increased diastolic blood pressure and mean arterial pressure to varying degrees. However, blood pressure increased in the RUPP group. Instability, the diastolic blood pressure will not be statistically different from the sham operation group; the blood pressure of the RUPP + flushing group steadily increased than the RUPP group, the blood pressure was significantly higher. The UPP group was significantly higher than the sham operation group of 18 days and 24 hours. (2) The effect of RUPP operation on puppies: the fertility rate and birth rate on the 20th day of pregnancy in the RUPP operation were significantly reduced; it was significantly lower than the wet weight fetal weight and placenta in the RUPP operation sham operation group, and the reduction in the RUPP + irrigation group was the most obvious.

  Conclusion: RUPP + irrigation method, due to the possibility of inducing stable clinical symptoms in PE rats, it is recommended that a RUPP modeling method be improved.
