　　Oral cancer is a serious threat to human health and life, and its incidence is increasing year by year. The application of oral cancer animal models for clinical oral cancer diagnosis and treatment research has an irreplaceable role. Therefore, it is very important to establish a disease animal model that is relatively similar to the natural occurrence of human oral cancer and to conduct research on the pathogenic mechanism, prevention and treatment. At present, oral cancer animal models mainly include spontaneous animal models, induced animal models and genetically modified animal models. This article summarizes the research progress of oral cancer animal models in recent years, current problems and future development prospects.
