【Animal Modeling】-Establishment of rabbit VX2 nasopharyngeal transplantation tumor model

Nasopharyngeal carcinoma is one of the common malignant tumors in my country, and its incidence ranks first among malignant tumors in otolaryngology. Nasopharyngeal masses are very important because of their deep anatomical location and complex surrounding structures, making it difficult to visualize in vivo observations or In vivo sampling research is particularly important at this time. The animal experiment in the in vivo experiment, that is, the use of animals to replicate human diseases, can shorten the natural course of the disease, facilitate the observation of the entire process of disease occurrence and development, and carry out biopsy to study nasopharyngeal carcinoma from the pathological level. Make the results more scientifically based and convincing. VX2 tumor is a kind of squamous cell carcinoma derived from rabbit papilloma induced by Shop virus in the skin. It was formally established in 1940 and has been widely used in basic research in the field of tumor. Some scholars at home and abroad planted VX2 tumor on Auricle, brain, liver, lungs, kidneys and other parts of the tumor, all aspects of research. However, because there are not many animal models of orthotopic nasopharyngeal transplantation tumors, and there is no uniform standard for the establishment of nasopharyngeal transplantation tumor animal models, this article summarizes the current status of rabbit VX2 nasopharyngeal transplantation tumor models. Subsequent in vivo studies of nasopharyngeal carcinoma provide suitable experimental animal models.
