Objective: To investigate the positive and suspicious proportions of four cynomolgus monkeys BV, SRV, SIV and STLV-1 introduced from Laos, and to monitor the dynamic changes of the four viruses during the establishment of SPF populations, and then compare common populations And SPF population juvenile monkey virus antibody positive rate.
Method: Use a special kit to continuously monitor and compare the four viruses.
Results: In the introduced 1998 cynomolgus monkeys, the BV antibody positive rate was as high as 52.35%, the suspicious rate was 8.31%, and the antibody negative rate was only 39.34%; the positive rates of SRV and STLV-1 antibodies were 7.45% and 8.56%, respectively; Cynomolgus monkeys with positive or suspicious SIV antibodies were detected. After screening, the SPF population was established. The positive rates of BV, SRV and STLV-1 virus antibodies monitored in 2010 were 5.24%, 1.01% and 0.4%, respectively. After 5 consecutive years of continuous screening and elimination, as of the end of 2014 The positive rates of the three virus antibodies dropped to 0.82%, 0.27% and 0.27%, respectively. No SIV antibody-positive or suspicious cynomolgus monkeys were detected. The positive rate of B virus antibody in common group breeding young monkeys was 9.71%, and the suspicious rate was 1.85%; while the positive rate of B virus antibody in SPF breeding population was only 0.22%.
Conclusion: Continuous monitoring of virus antibodies and continuous elimination of antibody-positive and suspicious animals have important production significance for the establishment of SPF cynomolgus monkey populations.
