Purpose This study aims to collect blood indicators of young SD rats at different developmental stages, establish corresponding background data, and provide references for the safety evaluation of pediatric drugs.
Methods Collect blood samples of about 200 juvenile SD rats at 3, 6, 8, 12, and 16 weeks of age, and use an automatic blood cell counter and biochemical analyzer to determine the corresponding indicators.
Results According to the results of each index parameter, the blood indexes of the 6-week-old rats were different from most of the 16-week-old rats, such as RBC, HGB, TP, BUN, and the 12-week-old rats. 16-week-old rats had no difference in most indicators such as WBC, HGB, and BUN.
Conclusion The results show that the blood indicators of young SD rats at different ages have a certain time correlation. The establishment of background data at different periods has certain guiding significance for the statistical analysis and discussion of blood indicators in young rats.
