Objective To establish the biological indicators of normal SD rats in the long-term toxicity test in the barrier environment animal laboratory of the Center for Chinese Medicine Safety Evaluation (CLP), so as to provide reference indicators for future researchers.
Methods Collect 10 batches of SD rats in normal control group for long-term toxicity test. They were fed normally. Body weight gain and food intake were measured once a week. Organ index and blood were measured once every 3rd and 6th month and at the end of the recovery period. And biochemical indicators.
Results The food intake of male SD rats was higher, and the body weight showed a linear growth trend, which was higher than that of females. The organ index of male rats decreased, indicating that the growth and development and feed utilization rate of male rats were faster than those of dimensional rats. There were no obvious changes in blood and biochemical indicators.
Conclusion These normal data indicators can provide reference indicators for future rat experiments in the GLP barrier environment animal laboratory.
