Purpose: Based on 3.0 T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology, to observe the morphology and anatomy of WHBE rabbit brain in vivo, and to accumulate basic biological data of imaging of WHBE rabbit brain, so as to provide background information for further broadening the application of WHBE rabbit.
Methods: Nine adult male WHBE rabbits were anesthetized with 3% sodium pentobarbital solution intravenously, and routine cross-sectional and sagittal scans were performed with 3.0 T MRI plus a special coil for the rabbit brain, and various structures of the brain were measured and analyzed. .
Results: MRI scan can successfully obtain the sagittal and cross-sectional T2WI or T1WI images of the living WHBE rabbit brain. The basic structures of the living WHBE rabbit's olfactory bulb, brain, cerebellum and pituitary can be observed completely and clearly, and 4 rabbit brains have been found. In T2WI, the left and right sides of the temporal lobe hippocampus were high in signal, and the corresponding areas were not abnormal except for the low signal in T1WI. At the same time, the reference values of related anatomical structures such as frontal lobe, hippocampus, brain, lateral ventricle, and pituitary were obtained.
Conclusion: Using the 3.0 T magnetic resonance imaging system and the rabbit brain special coil, the various morphological and anatomical structures of the WHBE rabbit brain can be clearly observed, and the basic data of WBHE rabbit brain imaging have been established.
