Objective: To use electrocardiogram to detect pressure overload-type chronic heart failure rats and analyze its characteristics.
Method: 20 male SD rats were randomly divided into sham operation group (S group) and heart failure group (HF group). In the heart failure group, the abdominal aorta constriction method was used to prepare the model, and the sham operation group was only threaded but not constricted. The Ⅱ lead electrocardiogram detects the limb leads and analyzes the data statistically.
Results: 10 weeks after the operation, the ECG test showed several characteristics: Heart failure group (HF group): ①Heart rate, P wave amplitude and P wave time limit were significantly increased (P<0.05); ②R wave amplitude was significantly greater than that of S group rats (P<0.05); ③The J-point displacement of the ECG was significantly elevated (P<0.05), while the ST height was significantly reduced (P<0.05).
Conclusion: The ECG characteristics of stress-overload heart failure rats are obvious. As a non-invasive method, ECG detection can effectively evaluate stress-overload heart failure in rats.
