[Animal Modeling]-Evaluation of the laboratory test results of malic enzyme-1 and isocitrate dehydrogenase-1 in the kidney homogenate of experimental mice

Purpose: To understand the testing capabilities of laboratory animal testing institutions and improve the quality of laboratory animals through the testing capability verification program for malic enzyme-1 and isocitrate dehydrogenase-1 in experimental mouse kidney homogenate.

Method: According to the proficiency testing program approved by CNAS, through sample preparation, passing the stability and uniformity inspection, it is used as the proficiency testing sample. Use random numbers, send samples to participating units, and attach work instructions. Submit the inspection report and copy of the original record within the specified time limit. If the result is consistent with the sample pre-inspection result, it will be considered as a satisfactory result, and if the result is inconsistent or failing to submit the result, it will be considered as an unsatisfactory result.

Results: A total of 10 laboratories participated in this proficiency testing project, of which 8 laboratories were satisfied with the results, accounting for 80% of the total participating institutions, and 2 laboratories were dissatisfied, accounting for 20%.

Conclusion: The laboratory animal quality inspection agency has a high detection ability of malic enzyme-1 and isocitrate dehydrogenase-1 in the experimental mouse kidney homogenate, and the implementation of the proficiency testing program can reflect the laboratory's detection level.
