Objective: To evaluate the ability of two novel polycitric acid degradable biomaterials to induce soft tissue regeneration after calvarial defect in rats.
Methods: 46 male Sprague Dawley rats were randomly selected and 6 SD rats were implanted into the thigh muscles, respectively, and the materials were obtained after two weeks; the remaining 40 skull defects were randomly divided into 4 groups after modeling: control group, autologous bone transplantation group And two new citric acid material transplantation groups, 10 in each group, the materials were collected 3 months after treatment, and histological staining and morphometric analysis were performed.
Results: 1. Two new polycitric acid biomaterials can induce the regeneration of intramuscular soft tissue; 2. Two new polycitric acid biomaterials can induce the regeneration of blood vessels and fibrous tissue in rat skull defects; 3. Two new polycitric acid biomaterials Acid biomaterial accelerates intramembranous osteogenesis after calvarial defect by inducing soft tissue regeneration.
Conclusion: The two biomaterials have good soft tissue regeneration induction, which can effectively stimulate the soft tissue regeneration in the skull defect and at the same time accelerate the occurrence of intracranial periosteal osteogenesis and ultimately promote the healing of the skull.
