Objective To confirm the performance of the pulse vacuum sterilizer, and to verify the effect of pulse vacuum sterilization on the SPF golden hamster cage and drinking water under the specified loading method and sterilization conditions.
METHODS: Using professional temperature probes and biological indicators to sterilize different items in the same load with pulsed vacuum by chemical and physical methods. First, carry out the no-load vacuum pressure holding test, BD test and no-load heat distribution test of the pulsating vacuum sterilizer to confirm the performance of the sterilizer itself, and then carry out the full-load heat distribution test/heat penetration test according to the specified loading method and sterilization conditions. Tests/Microbiological Challenge Tests, and Sterility Tests.
Results The performance of the pulsating vacuum sterilizer was qualified: vacuum holding pressure, BD test and no-load heat distribution test were all qualified; SPF golden hamster cage and drinking water were subjected to full-load heat distribution test/heat penetration according to the specified loading method and sterilization conditions Test/microbial challenge test, all test results were qualified; after sampling high pressure litter and drinking water inoculated medium for 14 days, no colony growth was seen in the medium, and the sterility test was qualified.
Conclusion The SPF golden hamster cage and drinking water can achieve sterilization effect after pulsed vacuum sterilization under the specified loading method and sterilization conditions.
