Objective To establish a faster and more feasible method to obtain rat knee joint synovial tissue than traditional methods.
Methods The traditional method of obtaining rat rattan joint synovial tissue was learned by referring to the literature, and a large number of rat knee joint anatomical atlases were consulted. In the experiment, 60 experimental rats with adjuvant arthritis that were successfully modeled were randomly divided into two groups. The synovial tissue of rat knee joint was obtained from 30 rats by the traditional method, and the synovial tissue of rat knee joint was obtained from the other 30 rats by the new method.
RESULTS: Twenty-three of the 30 rats obtained relatively intact synovial tissue by the traditional method. In the new method, the synovial tissue of the knee joint was completely removed from all 30 rats; the traditional method took an average of (15.26±3.41) minutes to remove the synovial tissue of one rat’s unilateral knee joint, and the new method took an average of (10.12±3.41) minutes 2.34) min, there was a significant difference between the two (P<0.01).
Conclusion Compared with the traditional method, the new method can extract the synovial tissue of rat Teng joint more quickly and feasible.
