Objective In this study, a comparative analysis of the parameters of the macro environment and the rearing microenvironment under the dynamic conditions of the SPF laboratory animal room was carried out, in order to explore the influence of the rearing microenvironment on the experimental animals.
Methods The experimental rabbit isothermal surface biological heat transfer model and the tray moisture and ammonia dissipation model were established, and the macro environment and rearing microenvironment of the experimental animal room under static and dynamic conditions were compared and analyzed by CFD simulation.
Results After adding the experimental rabbits, the general environment of the experimental animal room did not change significantly, while the air flow in the cage and in the microenvironment was more chaotic, which affected the heat and moisture transfer and the discharge of pollutants. Some microenvironmental parameters may exceed the standard .
Conclusion The changes of environmental factors under static and dynamic conditions were obtained, and the control of the feeding microenvironment can better ensure the welfare and quality of experimental animals.
