【Animal modeling】-Observation of multimodal molecular functional imaging of female rhesus monkey kidneys at different ages

Objective: To observe various imaging indexes such as GFR, ADC, SUV, CT value of female rhesus monkey kidney in different age groups, and to explore the effect of age on various imaging quantitative indexes of female rhesus monkey kidney.

Methods: 17 female rhesus monkeys of different ages were selected and divided into juvenile group, adult group, and elderly group according to age. The blood BUN, Cre, and UA levels of each rhesus monkey were detected. SPECT/CT, MRI, PET/CT, etc. were performed. Multimodal molecular function imaging was performed and GFR, ADC, SUVmax, SUVmean, and CT values were measured by workstation. The comparison between left and right kidney indexes was performed by t test, and the renal indexes among different age groups were analyzed by variance analysis. The correlation between serological indexes of renal function and GFR Pearson analysis was used.

Results: The left and right glomerular filtration rate (GFRL, GFRR), total glomerular filtration rate (GFRtotal) and ADC value of female rhesus monkeys in the aged group were significantly lower than those in the adult and juvenile groups (P<0.05). and="" p="">0.05). There were no significant differences in SUVmax, SUVmean, and CT values between the left and right kidneys in each age group and among the three age groups (P>0.05). BUN, Cre, and UA There was no significant difference between the three age groups (P>0.05). The correlation analysis showed that BUN and Cre were moderately correlated with GFRtotal (r=0.56, -0.56, P<0.05). p="">0.05).

Conclusion: This study provides a reference for the quantitative analysis of left and right renal function in rhesus monkeys through SPECT/CT molecular functional imaging, and serves as the "gold standard" evaluation of renal function in rhesus monkeys to provide basic data for scientific experimental research on rhesus monkey kidney.
