【Animal Modeling】-Experimental Study on Coptis Rhizoma Polysaccharide Relieves Kidney Injury in Diabetic Rats by Inhibiting Oxidative Stress and Inflammatory Response

Objective: To study the protective effect and potential mechanism of Coptis chinensis polysaccharide on renal injury in diabetic rats

Methods: A diabetic rat model was established by intraperitoneal injection of STZ (60 mg/kg), and the SD rats that were successfully modeled were randomly divided into model groups, d. Coptidis polysaccharide high (300 mg/kg/d) and low (100 mg) / kg / d) dose group and losartan potassium group (30 mg / kg / d) 10 SD rats in each group and 10 SD rats were selected as the normal group by intragastric administration once / d. Effects of body weight, kidney weight to weight ratio, BUN, Scr, 24 h urine protein, renal tissue pathological morphology, SOD, CAT, GSH-Px, MDA, IL-6, hs-CRP and TNF-α expression in diabetic rats

Results: Compared with the model group, the body weight of the rats in the Coptidis chinensis polysaccharide group was significantly increased, while the ratio of kidney weight to body mass was significantly decreased. It can also increase the activity of SOD, CAT, GSH-Px in renal tissue, reduce the content of MDA in renal tissue and the content of IL-6, hs-CRP and TNF-α in serum

Conclusion: Coptis chinensis polysaccharide can reduce renal injury in diabetic rats, which is related to the inhibition of oxidative stress and inflammatory response.
