Objective: To explore the effect of Bushen Cuovary Decoction on sex hormone, anti-Müllerian hormone and ovarian morphology in polycystic ovary syndrome model rats, and to explore the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) by Bushen Cuovvary Decoction mechanism of action.
METHODS: Bushen and Ovulation Decoction was applied to the PCOS rat model induced by dehydroepiandrosterone, and the ovaries were morphologically analyzed and serum sex hormones and AMH were detected.
RESULTS: Compared with the normal group, the rats in the model group had diffuse cystic and severe dilatation of the ovaries, with cystic cavities of different sizes, and the granulosa cells were squeezed into a flat or cubic shape, and the corpus luteum and follicles in various developmental stages were scarce. Bushen Cuovv Decoction could significantly improve the number of mature follicles, corpus luteum, sex hormones and AMH levels in PCOS model rats, and the differences were statistically significant compared with the model group (P<0.05).
Conclusion: Bushen Cuovv Decoction can improve serum sex hormone levels, reduce serum AMH and restore ovarian ovulation function in PCOS model rats, thereby achieving the effect of treating polycystic ovary syndrome.
