Objective To study the occurrence of spontaneous lesions in young SPF SD rats, and to provide data for the preclinical safety evaluation of drugs, especially the preclinical evaluation of pediatric drugs.
Methods The negative control group rats at birth 51d (PND51), 65d (PND65), 111d (PND111) and 139d (PND139) were collected in the drug repeated administration toxicity study in young SD rats in the past 2 years, and pathological sections were made. , The types and histomorphological characteristics of SD rat lesions were observed under an optical microscope, and the incidence of lesions was counted.
The results analyzed and reported the spontaneous lesions of young SPF SD rats at different times of development, mainly including heart, liver, kidney and other organ lesions. The incidence and degree of spontaneous lesions in the liver, heart, and kidney vary with the development of the rats. improved and deepened.
Conclusions Spontaneous lesions and their incidence at different times of development in young SPF SD rats can provide a reference for the study of drug repeated administration toxicity.
