【Animal modeling】-The acute toxicity of CKLF1-C19 to Kunming mice

OBJECTIVE: To study the acute toxicity of the polypeptide CKLF1-C19 of chemokine-like factor 1 (CKLF1) on Kunming mice.

Methods: The mice in the experimental group were injected with 25 mL/kg of CKLF1-C19 (three concentrations of 100 μg/mL, 1 mg/mL, and 10 mg/mL), and the control group was given the same volume of normal saline. The body weight changes of the mice were recorded every day, and the general conditions of the mice in the experimental group were closely observed. After the experiment, the abdominal aortic blood of mice was collected to detect liver and kidney function; liver, kidney, spleen and lung tissues were collected to observe the appearance, do HE staining and routine histopathological examination.

Results: The general condition of the two groups of mice was good, and the weight of the mice increased slowly. There was no significant difference in the weight change of the two groups of mice (P>0.05), and there was no death after 14 days; the blood biochemical results related to the liver and kidney function of the two groups of mice There was no significant difference (P> 0.05); the heart, liver, kidney, spleen, lung and other organs of the two groups of mice were normal by naked eye observation.

Conclusion: CKLF1-C19 has no acute toxicity in mice.
